Directory
Each Fall, Friends of Marquez publishes a directory for the exclusive use of the Marquez Charter School community. The directory is used for school-related purposes – never for outside marketing. The distribution is limited and only goes to members of the school community: families, teachers, administration, and selected staff.
The directory includes:
■Listing of students by classroom
■Alphabetical listing of families contact information
■School calendar
■Campus Map
■Key school organizations and contacts
■Faculty, administration and staff
■Pull out programs and after school programs
■Car Pool listing
■Classified advertising
Data collection for directory
We’re all a bit fed up of filling out forms at the start of the school year, so we now start next year’s directory with the information you have already given us from the year before. This is then updated by you, typically at Back to School Night, to ensure that the most current information is printed in this year’s edition. This means Kinder parents start from scratch though!
Parents must opt in to be included in the directory and give explicit permission to have photographs of their children in it.
Need a Directory?
The directory is available approx two months after 1st day of school, after ‘norm day’, production and printing.
One complimentary copy will be provided to each family, compliments of Friends of Marquez.
Additional and replacement copies are available for purchase for $10.00. Ask FOM.
If you are new to the school this year, we can also assist you in obtaining a copy of last year’s directory until the 2010-2011 Directory is released.
Advertising Opportunity:
This and the spring auction are the only opportunities to legitimately advertise to our parents.
Exposure to 550+ local families.
Full, 1/2 and 1/3 page ads, inserts and book marks are available to purchase. We are open to new format ideas too.

Deadline for ad placement will be September 16, 2011.
