Why: Why not? Come meet other parents from Ms. Superteacher’s class. Come have a little to eat. We will have sign up sheets for the different events happening this year. We’ll discuss and hopefully collect all the money that may be requested for our class this year (i.e. wish list donations, PTA membership, class projects, teacher gifts etc.)

Example Sorry, We Missed You Letter

Dear Mrs. Giving,

We missed you at our Room XX Coffee Get Together this week but we understand how busy everyone is at this time of year!

Enclosed is a letter explaining some funding requests. These are suggested amounts and we can’t require that you give, but you can see that the need is great. We hope that you will bring your check in an envelope, with Attn: Room Parent on it, to XXXXXXXXXXXXX ASAP. This will help us complete our accounting for Room XX.

Also, the Halloween Festival is coming and our class is responsible for the XXXXXXXXXXX booth. Please sign up to help for an hour on Sunday, October XXth (or help set up on Saturday, October XXth!) The sign up sheet will be in the classroom. If you can’t make it to the classroom but would like to sign up please give one of us a call.
