Circle of Giving
This is our most direct annual giving campaign.
As a charter school, we have the amazing ability to enrich the standard “LAUSD” provided programs (which are basically reading, writing and arithmetic!) with enrichment programs which are supported through Friends of Marquez.
These programs include:

Physical Education

Art

Classroom Aides

Music

Our Digital Edge Laptop Program

An Additional FULL TIME teacher in the upper grades to reduce class size

A part time Science and Language Arts teachers for 4th grade

And much more
Circle of Giving has many levels of giving to choose from, but our suggested minimum is $850 per student – and this number is in direct correlation to what Friends of Marquez actually SPENDS on each student, each year.

Circle of Giving raises approximately 65% of the annual Friends of Marquez budget. The Circle of Giving campaign kicks off at the beginning of each school year, and we accept checks in full, pledges for multiple payments, transfer of stock, credit card payments, and also will work with eligible employers for matching gifts.
Donations to Circle of Giving are generally tax deductible. Consult with your tax advisor.
PARTICIPATION LEVELS:
SONGBIRD LEVEL: Donate $5,000 PER FAMILY & RECEIVE:
- All of the Flower Level benefits, plus
- Two preferred seats to your child’s school activities (ie: graduation, holiday show, grade level plays, orchestra concerts)
- A Songbird on our Garden of Giving Mural
- Permanent Donor Recognition on the Songbird Donor wall.
- Special One Check Package which includes vouchers for:
FLOWER LEVEL: Donate $2,500 PER FAMILY & RECEIVE:
- All of the Leaf Level benefits, plus
- A Flower on our Garden of Giving Mural
LEAF LEVEL: Donate $1,000 PER STUDENT & RECEIVE:
- All of the Garden Level benefits, plus
- A Leaf on our Garden of Giving Mural
GARDEN LEVEL: Donate $850 PER STUDENT & RECEIVE:
- All of the Contributor Level benefits, plus
- Recognition on the donor wall and in other publications
- Invitation to the Circle of Giving Donor Recognition Party
- Friends of Marquez Tote Bag
CONTRIBUTOR LEVEL: Donate ANY AMOUNT RECEIVE:
- Receive recognition on the donor wall and will receive a garden sign to indicate your support of Marquez.
